If you thought I'd been a bit quiet lately over at REDDSKIN then you'd be right....but it's all for an excellent reason! I have been more than a tad busy with my day job...but I've also been getting ready for Sydenham Arts Festival 2014 and, more importantly for me, Sydenham Arts Trail!
This year is a very special year for so many reasons! It's the first REDDSKIN Open House as part of the Artists Trail. I will be showcasing the REDDSKIN clothing collection, new bags and accessories as well as old firm favourites.
Secondly this will be the first year that I am joined by some more fierce and fabulous (and local - yay!) designer-makers. Next weekend (Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July), jewellery designers Twisted Vintage will be wow-ing and woo-ing with their gorgeous collection of upcycled designs.
The following and final weekend (Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July) Knitwear and Accessories designer Golden Silk will debut her collection. She also *happens* to be my eldest daughter, Kareem. Proud doesn't even come close to covering it! (yes I AM grinning as I write this.)
There will be homemade cupcakes AND cocktails AND music and as usual we will have a lot of fun. In addition, during the second weekend there will be demonstrations on how to make a plaited upcycled necklace, plus a knitting workshop.
There is so much to see and do over the next three weeks! Have a look at the Sydenham Arts Festival website here or browse/download The Artists Trail 2014 brochure here.
We look forward to seeing you!
In the meantime, enjoy the sunshine!
